CBA Strategic Advisory Board Holds Fall Meeting

The CBA Strategic Advisory Board held its second meeting of AY2020-2021 via zoom on Thursday, November 18th 2021. The meeting was chaired by CBA Dean Prof. Akinola Fadahunsi and attended by 8 board members including Mr. Ahmed Abuljobain, COO Nobles Holding, Virginia, USA, Ms. Soukaina Ben Bihi, Head of Public Relations and Partnerships at the Federal Youth Authority, Dubai, Dr Chuloh Jung, Director of Ajman University Innovation Center, Prof. Dipak Jain, President (European) of the China Europe International Business School, Dr. Eda Çalişkan, Senior Organization & Talent Development Director, GE Middle East, Turkey & Africa and Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, CEO, Center for Learning Innovations and Customized Solutions (Clicks), UAE. Also actively contributing to the meeting were student board members Ali El Din Loutfi Abdalla Ibrahim (Graduate) and Karen Saad Zakaria (Undergraduate).

Dean Fadahunsi welcomed all board members and introduced Dr. Eda and Dr. Narimane, the new members. He also welcomed guest attendee Dr. Marya Yammine, Ajman University’s Acting Marketing and Communication Manager, who discussed her department’s plans and outlined a marketing plan for CBA. Thereafter, board members reviewed and discussed the proposed plans agreed to form a marketing committee for marketing. Dr. Narimane provided constructive feedback on SAB bylaws and proposed some amendments, which were unanimously approved by board members. The board then offered insights and ideas on several issues discussed during the previous meeting and reviewed progress on these issues connected to the college’s strategic priorities, CBA’s internship program, improving alumni relations, and other related matters. The Dean updated the board about the status of CBA’s journey towards achieving AACSB accreditation and requested board members for their assistance specifically at the anticipated time of the AACSB Peer Review Team’s visit in March 2022. Finally, the Dean informed board members that it was almost time for the development of a new strategic plan and revision of CBA mission and that It is very important for CBA that its SAB be an integral part of this process. The Dean thanked the members at the end of the meeting and said that he would be in touch with them regarding the strategic plan, mission development, PRT visit and all other issues discussed during the meeting.
