Journal Article Names CBA Faculty Member as Most Influential Researcher

A recently published peer review journal article entitled: “Mapping the Intellectual Structure of Corporate Risk Reporting Research: A Bibliometric Analysis” has identified DBA Director and Professor of Accounting Dr Tamer Elshandidy as the most influential researcher in the area of corporate risk reporting. The article appeared in the latest edition of International Journal of Disclosure and Governance (Ranked 2* in ABS, B in ABDC, Q2 in Scopus).

Following a bibliometric analysis, the article authors found that Prof Elshandidy’s 2013 paper - Aggregated, Voluntary, and Mandatory Risk Disclosure Incentives: Evidence from UK FTSE all-share Companies  - published in International Review of Financial Analysis was the most cited paper in the area of corporate risk reporting. Other research papers by Prof Elshandidy were also given honorable mentions as being among the top 30 cited papers in the field. Prof Elshandidy expressed his delight in the impact of his research: “It is great to see how the research on risk reporting has been linked tightly together over the past 20 years. I am delighted with the recognition of my work and how it has significantly guided follower researchers in an area that is increasingly attracting attention.”
