CBA Professor Named as Leading Knowledge Management Researcher

A recently published peer-reviewed journal article entitled “Research constituents and authorship patterns in the Knowledge Management Research and Practice: a bibliometric analysis  (2006 – 2019)” has identified  CBA Professor of Strategic Management Krishna Venkitachalam among the leading authors in the field of Knowledge Management based on work published in the journal. According to Scopus, Knowledge Management Research & Practice (KMRP) is a Q1 journal with a JCR impact factor of 3.054. KMRP is itself ranked number 4 among the Knowledge Management discipline’s top 28 international scholarly journals.

Using information extracted from the Scopus database, the article analysed the journal’s impact, prominent themes, and most influential authors by using bibliometric and descriptive analysis for a 13-year period (2006-2019). The resulting 547 documents were used to arrive at a list of top 20 contributors to the field within the stated period. Professor Venkitachalam was listed at number 10.

Expressing his delight at the news, Professor Venkitachalam said ‘This news comes as a pleasant surprise to me, and also a motivating one for the incessant hard work and persistence of doing research in Knowledge Management (KM) for more than 20 years”.
