The College of Business Administration Hosts Odoo Workshops for Students and Faculty

In line with the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Odoo and Ajman University and their joint effort to bridge the gap between academia and the business world, the College of Business Administration recently organized two workshops on the Odoo educational program. The workshops, conducted by Mr. Naseraldin Kayemah, an ERP Consultant at Odoo, were tailored separately for students and faculty members. This initiative is part of Ajman University's strategy to integrate modern technologies and digital tools into its curriculum, aiming to enhance the learning process and create an advanced and innovative educational environment. By incorporating digital, interactive content, and practical applications into education, the university also seeks to improve students' employability by equipping them with modern technological skills that are in demand in the job market.

 

The workshop for students focused on the Odoo Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, a central database automating enterprise operations and facilitating data collection across departments. This enables organizations to gain comprehensive insights for analyzing future activities and improving profits through cost reduction. Additionally, students received practical training in a virtual environment, enhancing their implementation skills and understanding of real-world applications.

The workshop provided students with practical training on electronic commerce, covering buying and selling fundamentals and emphasizing its significance. It also delved into e-commerce tools, techniques, and their effective utilization in business settings.

 

In a separate workshop, CBA faculty members and staff received hands-on experience using the Odoo educational program, a powerful tool for illustrating daily operations, allowing faculty to create databases and virtual models of institutions. They can then share these with students, along with educational materials, to enhance learning experiences and enrich knowledge.
