Power BI Workshop: Empowering Future Financial Analysts
Senior finance students attended a workshop on Power BI, delivered by Mohammed Alfan, a seasoned expert in data analytics and business intelligence, and a founding member of Rows and Columns, a specialized training and consulting firm. With extensive industry experience, Mr. Alfan is dedicated to equipping professionals and students with practical skills in Power BI, Excel, and other data visualization tools. His dynamic teaching approach, combined with real-world examples, made the workshop engaging and effective. During the session, students gained hands-on experience with Power BI, developing essential skills in data analysis and visualization. The training provided a strong foundation for utilizing the tool effectively in real-world scenarios.
Student feedback reflected a high level of satisfaction with the workshop's content and delivery. Nada Nasser, a senior finance student, emphasized the clarity and simplicity with which complex concepts were explained, noting the session as one of the most enjoyable and enriching learning experiences. Mohammad Adnan highlighted the value of learning how to import and clean data, create various types of visualizations, and use interactive features like filters, slicers, and dashboards. He also appreciated the introduction to connecting multiple data sources and performing calculations using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), recognizing how such tools enhance data-driven decision-making.
