Within the framework of building bridges of cooperation between the College of Media and media institutions, students of the radio and television production major visited, on Monday, October 31, studios of the Sharjah Radio and Television Authority.

During their tour, students witnessed the directing of the On-air “Sabah Al Sharjah" Program, and they exchanged conversations with the director and producer of the program about the production and directing of on-air programs. The students also engaged in simulating the newscast in the “Akhbar AlDar” studio, and the students received a full explanation of the editing and production of newscasts.

Students were briefed on the newscasts script and programs' scripts and kept copies of them. They were also reported on the techniques used in the main control room (MCR) and transmission control room (TCR).

After the visit, students documented their tour by producing a video about the visit, filmed and edited by them, within the framework of the Radio & Television specialized programs course. The students also wrote a news report about their tour as part of the training in the Script writing course.
