College of Mass Communication Hosts Awareness Session on Fundraising and Faculty Engagement

As part of its ongoing efforts to foster a fundraising culture as a strategic tool for academic excellence and sustainability, the College of Mass Communication organized an awareness seminar for faculty members. The event aimed to highlight the importance of fundraising, showcase current university initiatives, and explore the faculty's role in enhancing participation and support.

The seminar was led by Dr. Hossam Salama, Dean of the College, who emphasized in his opening remarks that fundraising is a key priority in the University’s strategic plans. He noted its direct impact on improving the educational experience, supporting students, and contributing to broader community development goals. Dr. Salama also highlighted the vital role of faculty in promoting fundraising awareness within the university community, among students, and across society at large.

Faculty members expressed strong interest in contributing to these efforts through various initiatives, including individual participation, awareness campaigns, student-led projects, and co-curricular activities.

Also participating in the seminar was Mr. Ahmed Hallabi, Acting Executive Director of the Office of Resource Development and Alumni Relations. He presented the University’s fundraising vision and strategy, highlighted current initiatives, and outlined opportunities to expand the network of supporters among individuals and institutions. Mr. Hallabi responded to attendees’ questions and discussed mechanisms for collaboration and integration between the College and the Office in advancing these efforts.

This seminar forms part of Ajman University’s broader commitment to strengthening community engagement and encouraging contributions from both the public and private sectors in support of education and research through sustainable fundraising campaigns and meaningful partnerships.
