College of Mass Communication Hosts Workshop on Sports Content Production

The College of Mass Communication recently held a specialized workshop titled "Behind the Scenes of Sports Content Production," led by Dr. Nermeen Ibrahim, Director at Nile Sports Channel, Egyptian Television. The session attracted students from the Radio and Television Production program, alongside several faculty members.

The workshop explored key elements of sports broadcasting, including live football match coverage, the director’s role in producing sports programs and outside broadcasts, and the strategic positioning of cameras tailored to different sports and venue layouts. Dr. Ibrahim also highlighted the challenges faced during on-field coverage of sporting events, offering students practical insights and encouraging an interactive discussion.

The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Aliaa Antar, in collaboration with Dr. Amal Badr, and held under the patronage of Dr. Hossam Salama, Dean of the College. At the close of the event, Dr. Salama presented a certificate of appreciation to Dr. Nermeen Ibrahim in recognition of her valuable contribution to enriching students’ hands-on learning experience.
