Mass Communication Students Attend Parliamentary Session at the Federal National Council

A group of mass communication students visited the Federal National Council (FNC) headquarters in Abu Dhabi to attend the ninth session of the eighteenth legislative term, focusing on enhancing the government’s role in mass communication to ensure content authenticity and strengthen national identity.

Organized by Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor at the college, and faculty members, the visit aimed to deepen students’ understanding of parliamentary and communication processes.

The council adopted important recommendations, including localizing leadership roles in mass communication institutions, engaging national experts as advisors and trainers, and partnering with educational institutions to train students in professional practices.

Students toured the council premises and held a discussion with His Excellency Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi, gaining insights into the council’s operations and committees.

The students appreciated the experience, noting it enriched their knowledge of government communication’s impact on national identity.

This visit highlights the college’s commitment to practical learning and preparing skilled mass communication professionals to support the country’s media development.
