Applied Workshop for Digital Media Master’s Students to Enhance Digital Research Skills and Database Navigation

As part of the College of Mass Communication’s commitment to empowering graduate students and equipping them to conduct research efficiently, an applied workshop on “Digital Scientific Research Skills and Database Navigation Principles” was organized for students in the Master of Digital Media program. The workshop was held as an applied activity within the course "Research Methods in New Media" and was conducted by Dr. Dina El-Khattat, Associate Professor at the College.

The workshop aimed to equip students with the essential knowledge and practical research skills required to utilize digital tools and resources in scientific research. It provided insights into best practices and procedures for accessing peer-reviewed journals and digital databases through AU Digital Library, which offers high-quality research services and resources. Additionally, students learned the approved standards and mechanisms for academic referencing to ensure research integrity.
