Maha Dahawi is an Assistant Professor of Physiology at Ajman University’s College of Medicine, where she teaches physiology and neuroscience. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Khartoum, and holds a Master’s in Human Physiology from the same institution. She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience/Genetics from Sorbonne University, focusing on genetic mechanisms of epilepsy using C. elegans models. A member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP-UK), she received the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award for Sub-Saharan Africa and led the program for three years, mentoring emerging scientists across the region.
