MBBCh, DIP (Ped), MPH, DTM&H, PGCert (T&L), PhD (Wales), PhD (Oxford Brookes), FHEA, FRIPH Prof Dr Walid El Ansari is Professor of Public Health and Clinical Population Sciences. He has held full professorship appointments in the UK, USA, Denmark, Sweden, and Qatar. Prof Walid is widely published, with over 350 publications, sits on the editorial board of many international PubMed-cited journals, has undertaken commissioned work for the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and was one of 32 scientists world-wide that sat on WHO Geneva prestigious invitation-only ‘WHO Network of Innovators, Observatory on Health Care for Chronic Conditions’. In 2025, he was cited in Stanford University’s top 2% scientist worldwide. He has undertaken commissioned work for The European Parliament, European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg; the World Bank and Cambridge University; and The National Institute for Health & Care Excellence in the UK. Walid has been an invited panel member for prestigious funding bodies in the Netherlands, Portugal, UK, and Qatar; an invited visiting scholar, School of Public Health, UCLA, USA; and an invited keynote at the U.S. Institute of Medicine.
