Course Description
This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the current state of the art for
novel drug delivery systems with a particular focus on nanocarrier systems such as nanoparticles,
polymeric micelles, liposomes and solid lipid nanoparticles, for delivering small molecules. This
course will introduce students to advanced technologies in colon-targeted delivery and ocular delivery.
The class format will be lectures followed by critique of recent literature.
Pre-requisites: Fourth year + (PHA301)
