Digital Photography Exhibition at AUST

Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to the President for External Relations, inaugurated a photography exhibition entitled “Spots of Light” along with Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Dean of the College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities. The exhibition displayed 50 amazing photos shot by graphic design students.

Dr. Khalid Mustafa, the exhibition supervisor and assistant professor at the College Information and Mass Communication stated that “the photography is the art of painting with light, the name of the exhibition is derived from this theme as well”. The photos capture the essence of portraying people, nature, culture, heritage amongst other subjects.

He also explained that the Graphic Design Department trains students to treat a variety of subjects with different perspectives therefore altering the artwork as per the imagination. The students have aptly applied the techniques taught in class during the shooting for this exhibition.
