Social Campaign launched by AUST Students #your_smile_is_your_touch
Students from the College of Mass Communication & Humanities have launched a social initiative under the slogan “Your smile is your touch” it aims at spreading smiles.
The campaign has a multitude of reasons but foremost on its agenda is the goal of bringing hope and kindling the spirit of optimism on the faces and hearts of friends, colleagues, teachers in and around the colleges. Throughout the campus and beyond these students went around spreading smiles.
The amusing initiative was launched by Omar Al Shenti ,Ismail Samhan and Suhaib Brahmah and Daood Baalor they initiated this campaign by distributing beautiful bouquets of flowers to the Faculty members bearing the slogan in Arabic “#بسمتك_بصمتك” and In English “ Your smile is Your touch”. They were inspired by the saying of our beloved Prophet Mohammed – May Peace be Upon Him- who taught us to smile in the face of our brothers and It’s also accounted for as charity
Their entourage was warmly welcomed by Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice-President of AUST, who applauded their initiative and its noble aims. He encouraged them to keep spreading the cheer amongst their peers and faculty members, such little thoughtful deeds go a long way in breeding optimism especially amongst youngsters.
Dr. Hussam Salama, Department Head at the College of Mass Communication was very delighted by the students’ initiative specially because it coincided with the timings of the final examinations being held in the University. He pointed out that the College keenly supports the students in their social and academic endeavors.
The students on their part expressed utmost gratitude for letting them express their appreciation for their teachers and colleagues who represent a family unit rather than just college. The hashtag #your_smile_is_your_touch and #بسمتك_بصمتك has been launched in both Arabic & English to further this college initiative onto a social campaign unhindered in spreading smiles across the country.
