College of Mass Communication Master's Student Collaborated with a Mentor from MEPRA

Hamda Al maazami, the graduate student in the College Master program of Public Relation and Corporate Communication, succeeded to have a mentor from MEPRA’s Mentoring Program, offered exclusively to MEPRA members. Al maazami joined the MPRCC in 2020 and is currently working on her thesis untitled “Toward excellence in the practice of PR in higher education institutions in UAE: challenges and opportunities from the point of view of PR directors”.

The mentor program from MEPRA is designed to help junior communication professionals in their career development by connecting Mentees with an experienced senior professional to provide a new perspective, insights, ideas and become a sounding board for any professional growth. The mentor from MEPRA was Mrs. Amina Taher, she is the only female on leads the overall brand and marketing strategy for Etihad Aviation Group and manages cross-industry strategic partnerships. she is a Strategy Board member of the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA).

The College was keen to develop strong links to the industry, Our program joined MEPRA in September 2021, Few public relations programs in UAE implemented partnerships with MEPRA and benefit from opportunities for internships, mentoring programs,  and workshops.
