Mass Communication Students Visit Mohammed bin Rashid Library

As part of the activities for the course “Knowledge Society”, the College of Mass Communication organized a visit for students to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library in the Emirate of Dubai, which includes the largest catalog of books in the Middle East. The students' tour, which was supervised by Prof. Maha Abdel Majid, began with a guided tour to the corridors of the huge library, where the students were introduced to the holdings of the Library's relics exhibition of manuscripts and originals of rare books, in addition to Arab and international artifacts and. The students' tour also included an archival photo exhibition, which accurately records the development of the UAE over the years, and documents in pictures the life of the Emirati society and the stages of its development and renaissance.

The students were introduced to the Arts and Media Library, and toured the library’s sections and how to benefit from them. They documented the activities of the field visit to the library and the ways they benefited from it in various forms of media content production, such as introductory videos and others.
