The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences participates at the ONE FIP Practice Transformation Program on Diabetes

On Oct 22, 2021, the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has participated at the FIP event which culminate the launching of the ONE FIP Practice Transformation Program on Diabetes. A series of five webinars, the role of pharmacists in the prevention and management of diabetes and its complications; advancement in therapeutic options; competencies and workforce development opportunities; and policy barriers and facilitators in providing diabetes services will be explored.


Dr. Sanah Hasan, Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, served as a Panelist for Pharmacists’ role in the disease state management of diabetes and prevention of complications. The session aimed to:

  • Describe the different services provided by pharmacists to manage diabetes
  • Identify the role of pharmacists in preventing the complications of diabetes
  • Understand the importance of collaboration with other diabetes health professionals in achieving treatment goals
