Ajman Pharmacy students won first place in the Antibiotic Resistance poster competition conducted by the UAE National Antibiotic Resistance Committee

Students of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University participated in the Poster competition held in November 2021 as a part of the celebration of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) which is celebrated from 18-24 November every year. Students went through a tough competition against other students from universities all over UAE, with over 180 posters. Eight student groups from AU have been selected for the final rounds. Final Winners of the competition were announced during the 5th International Conference on Antimicrobial Resistance (5th ICAMR) which was held from March 25-26, 2022, at Le-Meridien Hotel and Conference center Dubai.

To our delight our students Sana Ishak, Fatima Alsabbagh and Nohran Yehia under the supervision of Prof. Elshaimaa Arafa Won the first place and were awarded trophy and certificates during the special ceremony for the announcement of the winners.

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University, Prof. Najeeb Hassan, congratulated the students and their supervisor for winning the first places, which confirms the keenness of the university and its senior management to provide the appropriate atmosphere and support to achieve the university's pledge of spreading medical awareness to the community.
