Pharmacy Students Excelled and Received Prestigious Awards in ICPM 2023, Dubai, UAE

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Ajman University won prestigious awards at the recently concluded International Conference of Pharmacy & Medicines, the UAE's one of the most functionally important Pharmaceutical & Healthcare exhibition in its 7th edition held in Dubai from 22nd January to 25th January 2023. The pharmacy student Zahraa Imad was awarded the first-Best Innovative Pharmacy Student Poster Award at ICPM under the "innovative" category for presenting a poster titled " Comparative study of antimicrobial effect of metallic nanoparticles". Student was supervised by Dr. Akram Ashames and Co-Supervised by Mr. Sohaib Khan.

Students Omar Emad Attia, Samer Omar Alalalmeh and Soheil Dashtinezhad were awarded the second-Best Innovative Pharmacy Student Poster Award at ICPM under the "innovative" category for presenting a poster titled “Development, validation, and utilization of a social media use and mental health questionnaire among the middle eastern and western adults”. Students were supervised by Dr. Richie Rashmin Bhandare.

Students Hamas Adel, Yara Alyahia and Adeeb Younes Adeeb were awarded the fourth-Best Innovative Pharmacy Student Poster Award at ICPM under the "innovative" category for presenting a poster titled “Comparative stability study of various painkillers marketed in the UAE.” Students were supervised by Dr. Akram Ashames and Co-Supervised by Mr. Taimoor Ahmad and Mr. Sohaib Khan.

Students Haneen Abdulmalek, Maram Eladdasy and Somayah Sedeghi were awarded the fourth-Best Innovative Pharmacy Student Poster Award at ICPM under the "innovative" category for presenting a poster titled “Antimicrobial properties of synthesized silver and iron nanoparticles from clove plant.” Students were supervised by Dr. Zehra Edis and Co-Supervised by Mr. Sohaib Khan & Mr. Hamed Abu Sara.

 Leena Saleh and Rand Al Ekk were awarded the fifth-Best Innovative Pharmacy Student Poster Award at ICPM under the "innovative" category for presenting a poster titled " Robotics In Pharmacy.” students were supervised by Dr. Akram Ashames.

Last but not the least, Hamas Adel, Nadiah Raed, Yara Mahmoud Adam, Samer Alalameh and Omar Emad Attia awarded third position under the category “University Scientific Competition”.

Professor Nageeb Hassan, the Dean of the college, congratulated the students for their achievement and applauded their success.

In recognition of the Ajman University's outstanding participation in the 7th session of the ICPM, the organizing committee also presented the conference trophy to Ajman University.
