Ajman University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) is proud to share a significant development for its pharmacy graduates aspiring to practice in Canada. Starting May 13, 2025, the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) eliminated the requirement for the Evaluating Exam for eligible international candidates. This means that graduates from internationally accredited programs, or those from institutions with comparable practice and licensure standards, can now directly proceed to the Qualifying Exam Part I.
We are pleased to announce that graduates from Ajman University COPHS are eligible for this new pathway, thanks to our prestigious ACPE International Accreditation Status. This accreditation affirms the high quality of our academic programs and aligns our standards with those recognized in top global pharmacy education systems.
Prof Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, said “This is an amazing step for our graduates who wish to pursue pharmacy practice in Canada. It not only affirms the quality of our program but also opens up valuable international opportunities while upholding high standards in professional certification.”
This change marks a major advancement in simplifying the Canadian pharmacy licensure process for qualified international graduates, while ensuring that the integrity and excellence of the profession remain intact.
This milestone highlights the global recognition of our pharmacy program and our ongoing commitment to supporting our graduates’ international success!
