Ajman University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) successfully hosted an enriching guest lecture titled “Pharmaceutical Clean Room Design and Operations,” delivered by esteemed industry expert Dr. Rasha Ahmed. The session brought together third-year pharmacy students for an in-depth exploration of contemporary contamination-control practices essential to advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing and research environments. This initiative supports COPHS’s ongoing strategy of strengthening academia–industry collaboration through courses co-delivered with leading organizations such as Julphar.
The lecture was a comprehensive overview of clean room classification standards, airflow and pressure-cascade design, contamination-control strategies, facility layout requirements, and operational best practices. The lecture served as a valuable bridge between theoretical foundations and real-world application, equipping students with insights that are critical to modern pharmaceutical operations.
“At COPHS, we are dedicated to providing our students with immersive learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge with the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical sector. Industry-engaged learning is a cornerstone of our mission.
