A faculty delegation from Ajman University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) recently visited Julphar Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries Manufacturers (Julphar), one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the Middle East. The visit aimed to strengthen ties between academia and industry, promote collaborative research, and bridge the gap between pharmaceutical education and real-world industrial practices. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Julphar’s management at the company’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities in Ras Al Khaimah. During the visit, faculty members were given a detailed tour of Julphar’s formulation development, analytical and quality control laboratories. The discussions held during the visit focused on exploring avenues for research collaboration, student training and internships, workshops/seminar for students, and development of joint industry courses in pharmaceutical and clinical sciences.
