Ajman, UAE – November 14, 2025 – Ajman University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS), in partnership with Ajman Specialty Hospital, successfully organized a comprehensive public awareness event to mark World Diabetes Day on November 14th.The impactful community engagement program saw students from the Pharmacy, Nursing, and Physiotherapy programs join forces with COPHS faculty and staff, alongside the dedicated nursing team from Ajman Specialty Hospital.
The central objective of the event was to educate the general public on diabetes, its prevention, healthy habits during diabetes, importance of treatment adherence, etc. The key services provided to the attendees included:
The initiative was highly successful, with 75 patients benefiting from the free services and health advice provided.
The event was coordinated by dedicated COPHS faculty and staff: Dr. Nihal Ibrahim (Chair of the Events Committee), Dr. Subish Palaian (Head of Experiential Learning), Ms. Alaa Farajallah (Senior instructor), Mr. Ahmed Gaili (Instructor), and Ms. Hind Alali (Clinical Training Instructor).
