College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Strengthens Industry Ties with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Seminar

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) at Ajman University hosted an industry-focused seminar on “Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) Analysis and Perspectives” in collaboration with Fisher Scientific.

The seminar was organized by Dr. Zehra Edis and it featured guest speaker Mr. Keriya Chakriya from Fisher Scientific’s Netherlands headquarters. Faculty and pharmacy students attended, gaining hands-on exposure through a live demonstration of the Phenom Pharos G2 Benchtop FEG-SEM and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.

“This seminar reflects COPHS’s commitment to bridging academia and industry, giving our students valuable insight into advanced technologies and preparing them for the evolving demands of pharmacy and research,” said Dean Prof. Abeer Al Ghananeem.

The event highlights COPHS’s ongoing efforts to strengthen industrial collaboration, enhance student learning, and advance research excellence.
