Ajman, UAE – May 5, 2025 — The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences proudly welcomed Prof. Ravi Shankar as a Visiting Researcher hosted by Dr Subish Palaian from May 1st to 4th, 2025, reinforcing the College’s dedication to global academic partnerships and the advancement of research and education.

During his four-day visit, Prof. Shankar engaged in a range of high-impact activities designed to enhance research collaboration and promote innovative teaching practices. His visit marked a significant step toward expanding the College's international academic engagement.

Highlights of the Visit:

  • Strategic Meetings: Prof. Shankar held in-depth discussions with the Dean and faculty members, exploring joint research initiatives, co-supervision opportunities for MSc students, and evaluation of postgraduate theses.
  • Student and Faculty Engagement:
    • Delivered an inspiring lecture to Pharmacy students titled “The Impact of Student Research on Improving Medicine Use: My Experiences,” motivating students to pursue research.
    • Led a dynamic session for faculty and staff on “Interactive Teaching-Learning Methods Beyond Conventional Approaches,” promoting innovation in pedagogy.
    • Discussed potential student exchange programs for nursing students and explored opportunities for international benchmarking.
    • Received an invitation to deliver a future webinar on “The Importance of Research in Nursing.”
  • Workshops for Postgraduate Students:
    Conducted two practical, skills-based workshops tailored for MSc students:
    • “Tips for Publishing Your Manuscript in High-Impact Journals”
    • “A to Z in Conducting a Qualitative Research Study”
