College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Faculty Visit Gulf Center Cosmetics Manufacturing LLC to Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration

COPHS faculty conducted an insightful industry visit to Gulf Center Cosmetics Manufacturing LLC (GCCM), one of the region’s leading producers of personal care and cosmetic products. The visit aimed to foster collaboration between academia and industry, enhance research and internship opportunities, and provide deeper practical insights into the cosmetics manufacturing sector.

During the visit, COPHS faculty members were welcomed by GCCM’s management team and taken on a comprehensive tour of the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities. The team observed the full cycle of product development, including formulation and testing to packaging and quality assurance. Discussions during the visit focused on potential partnerships in areas such as research and development (R&D), student internships, and joint projects aimed at promoting innovation in cosmetic science and sustainable manufacturing practices.
