The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences held its end-of-semester assembly on Thursday, 11 December 2025, bringing together faculty members, staff, and academic leadership to review key developments and mark the successful completion of the Fall 2025 semester.
Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, delivered a comprehensive address outlining the College’s recent achievements and future direction. She highlighted the continued growth in student enrolment and noted that the College currently offers three undergraduate programs and two postgraduate programs, reflecting its expanding academic portfolio. Prof. Abeer also announced the planned launch of a new academic program in the next academic year, underscoring the College’s ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in health sciences education.
In her remarks, Prof. Abeer emphasized that the College is entering “a period of remarkable progress,” attributing this momentum to the dedication of faculty members and the ambition of students, both of whom continue to enhance the College’s academic standing.
Dr. Akram Ashames, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, provided updates on major infrastructure developments planned by the University. He outlined upcoming renovations to the J1 Building, which will introduce additional facilities and advanced learning spaces to better support teaching and research activities. Dr. Akram also highlighted plans to optimize the delivery of basic biomedical science courses through shared offerings across health-related academic programs, aiming to enhance efficiency and resource utilization.
The assembly also featured brief presentations by Heads of Departments and Program Coordinators, who shared summaries of student performance in final examinations and highlighted key academic achievements across programs.
The event concluded with an informal gathering of faculty and staff to celebrate the successful completion of the semester, reinforcing a sense of collegiality and shared achievement across the College.
