College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences Holds OBF Training Retreat to Enhance Academic Excellence

The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Ajman University successfully organized an Outcome-Based Framework (OBF) Training Retreat on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, bringing together faculty and administrative staff for an engaging workshop focused on the college’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) along with data collection and analysis.

The retreat, held at CEC halls, aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of OBF in higher education and their application in academic planning, assessment, and continuous improvement processes. The training also served as an opportunity to foster collaboration among college members and align departmental goals with the university’s strategic vision.

Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of continuous faculty development and effective teamwork in achieving academic excellence. “This retreat reflects our commitment to cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based performance,” Prof AlGhananeem said.

The interactive sessions were led by Ms. Muna Yusuf from the Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness (OIPE) and Prof. Sai Boddu, Head of the Assessment Committee. The training focused on strategies to achieve the college’s KPIs according to OBF, identifying measurable outcomes, and outlining practical steps to reach each target. The sessions were highly engaging, with participants actively asking questions and discussing approaches to enhance KPI achievement.

The retreat concluded with a collective action plan outlining key priority for the upcoming academic year, ensuring that the college continues to meet national and international accreditation standards while advancing student success and institutional excellence.
