College senior students enrolled in the “Principles and Practice of Toxicology” course attended the Forensic Science Forum organized by the General Department of Forensic Science and Criminology at Dubai Police, bridging classroom theory with practical applications in forensic toxicology.
The event, held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Dubai Police Officers Club, celebrated World Science Day under the theme of cutting-edge forensic insights. It provided an invaluable opportunity for students to explore advanced techniques in poison detection, drug analysis, and postmortem toxicology—topics central to their coursework.
Students engaged in interactive workshops, including "Inside the Mind of a Forensic Expert", "An Identity That Unveils the Truth”, and “New Era: AI". They also participated in hands-on games such as "Think Like an Investigator," the "Crime Scene Game," and various board games designed to sharpen critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
This participation aligns seamlessly with the College's mission to foster academic excellence by integrating theoretical knowledge with real-world experiences. By attending, students gained firsthand exposure to professional forensic practices, enhancing their understanding of toxicology's role in criminal justice and inspiring future career paths in the field.
Prof. Elshaimaa Arafa, the course instructor who accompanied the group, noted the event's profound impact on student development. "Seeing our students apply classroom concepts in interactive settings like these workshops and games reinforce their learning and build confidence," she said. "It's a testament to how such collaborations contribute to holistic academic growth."
The College remains committed to partnering with industry leaders like Dubai Police to provide enriching opportunities that prepare students for global challenges in science and technology.
