The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Participates 1st Emirates Pharmacy Society Conference in Dubai

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) participated in the landmark 1st Emirates Pharmacy Society (EPS) Conference held during 17-18, November, 225, at the Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf, Dubai. The event, themed ‘Empowering pharmacy for healthsystem transformation and future readiness,’ served as a vital platform for professional engagement and knowledge exchange.

 

A delegation including the Dean, esteemed faculty members, and senior pharmacy students represented the College. During the conference, COPHS was honored with a significant ‘Appreciation Award’ for its ‘Knowledge Partnership’ with the event, underscoring the College's commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education and practice across the Emirates.

The conference agenda aligned perfectly with our mission to prepare future-ready pharmacists. Highlights included sessions on:

  • Pharmacy Leadership:Exploring the expanding and evolving role of pharmacists across regulatory, clinical, community, and academic sectors.
  • Advance Clinical and Public Health Pharmacy Practice:Focusing on cutting-edge patient care models.

Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of COPHS, emphasized the importance of such participation: “This successful participation demonstrates COPHS's dedication to remaining at the forefront of pharmaceutical advancement and providing invaluable networking and learning opportunities for our students. The COPHS actively engages with professional organizations within the country to deepen community engagement, partnership, and collaboration for better pharmacy education and healthcare practices.
