Advancing Resuscitation Excellence in Critical Care Nursing

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University successfully hosted an online workshop titled “Advancing Resuscitation Excellence in Critical Care Nursing” on 31 March 2026, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening clinical education and preparing future healthcare professionals for the demands of modern practice.

The workshop was held under the leadership of Professor Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College, and Dr. Deema Mahasneh, Head of the Nursing Department, with the coordination of Dr. Hosny Sultan and Dr. Omar Smadi. The event reflected the College’s ongoing efforts to provide high-impact academic and professional development opportunities that connect classroom learning with contemporary clinical practice.

The session was presented by Dr. Emad Hanna Dababneh, Regional Faculty for the American Heart Association in the MENA region and Director of Life Support Programs at Tawam Hospital and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. Drawing on his extensive expertise in emergency and critical care training, Dr. Dababneh delivered focused instruction in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and trauma care.

The workshop engaged more than 100 nursing students and faculty members, creating an interactive academic environment centered on life support knowledge and emergency response preparedness. Through this initiative, participants were able to deepen their understanding of essential resuscitation principles while strengthening their practical readiness for critical clinical situations.

This successful event highlights Ajman University’s dedication to advancing healthcare education through relevant, practice-oriented learning experiences. By bridging academic instruction with real-world clinical demands, the College continues to support the development of competent, confident, and future-ready nursing professionals.
