Ajman University Celebrates World Physiotherapy Day 2026 with Innovation, Industry Collaboration and Student Engagement

Ajman, UAE – 17 September 2026: The Physiotherapy Program at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Ajman University, celebrated World Physiotherapy Day 2026 under the theme “Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke,” highlighting the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in prevention, management, and rehabilitation.

The event featured a scientific program of lectures and practical activities, alongside strong industry collaboration, providing students with exposure to current rehabilitation technologies and equipment demonstrated by participating industry partners. The program also incorporated technology-enhanced education through Kahoot!, creating an interactive and engaging approach to assessing students’ knowledge. Students played a central role in the celebration by developing educational booths and interactive activities, encouraging peer-to-peer learning, teamwork, health awareness, and engagement with faculty, healthcare professionals, and industry representatives.

Prof. Abeer Al-Ghananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, said: “This celebration reflects our commitment to innovative and student-centered health professions education.
