Dubai, UAE – 18 September 2026. Nursing students from Ajman University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) demonstrated exceptional clinical skills, teamwork, leadership, and professional confidence at SimWeek 2026 in Dubai, earning an impressive six trophies across a range of challenging healthcare simulation activities.
The achievement highlights the students’ ability to apply their academic knowledge in realistic clinical situations while demonstrating the leadership qualities, communication skills, critical thinking, and teamwork essential to their future roles as healthcare professionals.
Supported by their nursing faculty, the students participated in high-fidelity simulation scenarios involving trauma care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), labour and delivery, and emergency situations. The experience challenged students to assess situations rapidly, make informed decisions, communicate effectively, and take responsibility within a healthcare team.
Beyond the competition itself, SimWeek provided an important leadership-development experience. By working under pressure and responding to complex clinical situations, students strengthened their confidence, accountability, problem-solving abilities, and readiness to lead and collaborate in real-world healthcare environments.
Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of CoPHS, congratulated the students and faculty on the achievement, emphasizing the broader significance of the experience: “These six trophies represent much more than success in a competition. They reflect our students’ ability to translate knowledge into practice, think critically under pressure, lead and collaborate as a team, and demonstrate the confidence and professionalism expected of tomorrow’s healthcare leaders.”
Dr. Deema Mahasneh, Head of the Nursing Department, expressed her pride in the students’ achievement and recognized the dedication of the Nursing faculty in preparing and mentoring the students. She also extended her appreciation to Leader Healthcare for providing the students with this valuable opportunity to challenge themselves, strengthen their clinical capabilities, and develop their confidence in a realistic simulation environment.
