Ajman University Nursing Students Gain Valuable Professional Experience at 1st Cardio EHS Conference

Dubai, UAE – 11 September 2026 Third- and fourth-year Nursing students from Ajman University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (CoPHS) participated in the 1st Cardio EHS Conference in Dubai, gaining valuable exposure to current developments in cardiovascular care and strengthening their readiness for professional practice. 

Accompanied by Dr. Deema Mahasneh, Head of the Nursing Department, the students attended scientific sessions and specialized cardiovascular workshops and engaged with healthcare professionals and experts from across the sector. Their participation provided an opportunity to connect their academic and clinical learning with real-world healthcare practice and gain a deeper understanding of emerging developments in cardiovascular care.

The experience also enabled students to develop their professional confidence, communication skills, clinical awareness, and networking capabilities. Through direct interaction with healthcare professionals, students gained insight into the evolving roles of nurses within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and the importance of continuous professional development.

Participation in professional conferences is an integral part of the College’s commitment to experiential learning. Such opportunities allow students to move beyond the classroom, engage with the wider healthcare community, broaden their professional perspectives, and develop the skills and confidence needed to become future-ready healthcare professionals. 

Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, emphasized the importance of providing students with meaningful opportunities to engage with the healthcare sector. She highlighted that exposure to professional environments helps students translate their academic knowledge into practical understanding while developing the confidence, professional networks, and lifelong-learning mindset needed to contribute effectively to the future of healthcare.
