The Nursing Department at Ajman University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, successfully organized an inspiring educational session titled “Communication Saves Lives: The Nurse’s Most Powerful Skill” on Thursday, May 7, 2026. The event highlighted the vital role of effective communication in enhancing patient safety, improving healthcare outcomes, and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration in nursing practice.
The session was conducted under the valued guidance and support of Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, whose continuous commitment to academic excellence and professional development greatly contributes to advancing healthcare education at Ajman University.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Deema Mahasneh, Head of the Nursing Department, as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote evidence-based nursing education and prepare future nurses with essential professional competencies.
The guest speaker, Akanksha Dicholkar, Group Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Medcare Hospitals & Medical Centres, delivered an engaging session highlighting the importance of effective communication in nursing practice and patient safety through practical strategies and real-life clinical experiences.
