Empowering Our People, Advancing Healthcare: The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Supports International Professional Development in Smart Healthcare
At the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) at Ajman University, empowering our faculty and staff through continuous learning, international exposure, and professional development is a key priority. In line with this commitment, COPHS supported Ms. Hind Alali, Nursing Clinical Training Instructor, in participating in the Advanced Healthcare Professional Training Program in Smart Healthcare at Taipei Medical University (TMU) in Taiwan. Held over two weeks in August 2026, the international program provided Ms. Hind Alali, Nursing Clinical Training Instructor with an opportunity to strengthen her expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital technologies, and smart healthcare solutions, while gaining valuable international exposure to innovative approaches shaping the future of healthcare education and practice.
During the program, Ms. Hind participated in an intensive academic and professional learning experience that combined lectures, practical sessions, expert discussions, and exposure to innovative healthcare technologies. The program covered key areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Deep Learning, healthcare data analysis, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI applications in medicine and medical imaging, neural networks, model interpretability, and emerging smart healthcare technologies. The training also provided valuable insights into how digital innovation can support healthcare professionals in improving clinical decision-making, patient care, healthcare education, research, and the overall efficiency of healthcare systems.
Reflecting on the experience, Ms. Hind said: “Participating in the Advanced Healthcare Professional Training Program at Taipei Medical University was an enriching experience that expanded my understanding of how artificial intelligence and smart technologies are transforming healthcare. It was particularly valuable to explore how these innovations can be integrated into clinical practice, education, and research. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent Ajman University internationally and look forward to sharing and applying the knowledge gained through this experience in clinical training and healthcare education. The international experience also provided an opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals and experts from different backgrounds, exchange perspectives, and learn from Taiwan’s experience in integrating technology, healthcare, and innovation.”
