Exploring Career Pathways Beyond Hospitals: Nursing Students Attend Specialized Career Session

The Department of Nursing, College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, in collaboration with Masar Career Excellence at Ajman University organized a special career talk for nursing students last week.

The session, titled “Career Beyond Hospitals: Exploring Prehospital Care for Nursing Students” was delivered by Ajman University’s guest speaker Mr. Baha Mustafa, Operation Manager from the National Ambulance. In his speech, Mr. Mustafa explained the difference between nursing and paramedics in prehospital field drafting from real case scenarios, supported by his dual background as an Intensive Care Unit and Emergency nurse and later as a paramedic. Students were then introduced to the process of acquiring certificates as an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic in the UAE, and engaged with an interactive Quessions & Answers session at the end.

This special talk aligns with the college’s aspiration to improve its students’ employability and provide them with a variety of career options after graduation. A number of students from second and third years from the BSN program attended the talk.
