Ajman, UAE — Ajman University (AU), College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (COPHS) in collaboration with the Office of International Academic Affairs, Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry, proudly launched the “Exploring Emerging Horizons in Global Health Care: A Dynamic Inbound Study Expedition 2026,” a week-long immersive academic and cultural experience from February 1 to 7, 2026. The event was coordinate by Ms. Victoria Winter, Director of Office of International Academic Affairs, and her team. This expedition welcomed visiting students to engage in advanced pharmaceutical education, clinical exposure, cutting-edge research demonstrations, and professional networking, while experiencing the UAE’s vibrant cultural landmarks. The expedition opened with a welcome reception at Ajman Bahi Palace Hotel, fostering connections between international participants and AU leadership team. The international participants included Dr. Yugantara Kadam, Dean of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, and Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeet students, while AU leadership team included Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem, Prof. Allen Guy Ross, Prof. Salem Abu Fanas, Dr. Erum Khan, Prof. Sai Boddu, Dr. Mohammad Kashif, Dr. Farhia Hirsi, Ms. Sally Tayeh, and Ms. Hadi Mroue.
Participants explored innovative pharmaceutical education through various activities such as
Graduate students from MSc in Clinical Pharmacy further highlighted the college’s commitment to clinical and scientific advancement. Other key highlights of the program included hospital and industry visits. Dr. Sabrina Ait Gacem coordinated the Saudi German Hospital in Ajman for in-patient pharmacy exposure and Ms. Maisaa Shaat accompanied the students to Leader Healthcare facilities in Dubai, offering students real-world insights into pharmaceutical technology and healthcare operations within the UAE.
Complementing the academic experience, students participated in curated cultural excursions to iconic destinations such as Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Al Majaz Waterfront, and a traditional desert safari, promoting cross-cultural learning and global engagement. The expedition concluded with a formal closing ceremony at AU, featuring certificate presentations, participant reflections, and networking sessions, reinforcing AU’s dedication to international collaboration and experiential learning. Prof. Abeer AlGhananeem stated that this initiative strengthens the role of COPHS as a regional hub for innovative healthcare education, global partnerships, and transformative student experiences.
