Social Statistics
Course Description

This course explores social statistics, its descriptive and inductive functions, the concept of measurement and assessment in terms of social sciences, the types of characteristics featuring statistical data (fixed characteristics, variables), the types of criteria pertaining to social sciences, the means and methods used in terms of data collection, and the types of probable and improbable samples. In addition to the aforementioned, this course trains students on developing recurring tables and distributions and charts, introduces them to the calculation of the central tendency and dispersion scale and trains them in terms of this process, the methods for conducting the chi-square test and its major applications, and trains students, in terms of the applied aspect of this course, on using statistical analysis software, such as SPSS and NVivo.
