This course explores the topics, objectives and fields of the sociology of the family, as well as the family and its patterns, marriage and relationships with the relatives, the theoretical knowledge pertaining to the study of the family and globalization, and the impact of the latter on contemporary families, familial problems, the family system in Gulf societies, and the family in the Emirati society.
