“Successful Journalist in the Era of AI” Workshop at the College of Mass Communication

As part of the efforts of the College to refine students' skills, the college organized a workshop titled 'Successful Journalism in the Era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).' The workshop was presented by journalist Sally Al-Assad, a founding partner of Al-Laith Media Group and the General Manager of Al-Laith for Media Training. with the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hossam Salama, the dean, and several faculty members. The workshop was organized by Dr. Amal Badr.

The workshop covered the qualities of a successful journalist, highlighting their distinctive features and discussing how to leverage the capabilities of artificial intelligence while maintaining control over its use. Al-Assad mentioned that the responsibilities of journalists in the era of artificial intelligence have become more demanding, combining verification, integrity, and creativity.

Al-Assad also had the opportunity to learn about the experiences of the college students in presentation, public speaking, program production, and television broadcasting. She considered the students' experiences as the nucleus of the future of Arab media, emphasizing their readiness and excellent training to become successful male and female journalists in the future. The workshop witnessed significant attendance from male and female students, who praised its value and expressed their motivation to apply the acquired skills.
