This course is designed to develop oral communication skills required for effective public speaking. The course introduces students to the know-how related to public speaking, debating and argumentation. It emphasizes critical thinking, speech organization, audience analysis and equips learners with the ability to deliver effective oral presentations. The course builds on ethical speech making skills, it readies students’ for successful public speaking situations focusing on the use of visual aids to enhance oral presentations. The goal of the course is to equip students with fundamentals of organization, research and delivery needed for successful speeches. This course is relevant not only to the students’ academic life, but also in their social life and future careers.
