Course Description

This course draws the distinction between guidance and counseling, explores the origin and development of family and psychological counseling, explains the main purposes and objectives of family counseling and guidance as well as its main principles, identifies and explains the main counseling and guidance work skills, the major theories used in terms of family counseling and guidance, the means and methods for collecting various relevant information, the steps for conducting a case study, and the steps for managing counseling sessions, and the various therapeutic methods used in this respect. In addition to the aforementioned, this course trains students on applying such methods, and provides them with the means and methods to be applied in terms of tackling cases pertaining to individuals with special needs.
