Course Description

This course defines demography, the development of its methodology, and the diversity of its visions. It also explores demographic movement and its measurement and that, through focusing on fertility and deaths, the concept of the population pyramid, the population structure and its content, as well as its sociological analysis. In addition to the aforementioned, this course discusses the population policy, its economic and social impact, and the topic of internal and external migration. Furthermore, this course analyses the classical and modern population theories, and provides an overview of the impact of population on development at the United Arab Emirates.
