Course Description
This course offers students practical training in real school settings to develop the professional competencies required for effective teaching and educational leadership. It begins with three weeks of on-campus preparation, introducing the objectives and stages of the training program, including lesson planning, model teaching, and leadership responsibilities. Students then engage in a ten-week field experience at a host school, where they apply skills in instructional planning, classroom management, educational technology, assessment, and school leadership tasks. Under the guidance of academic and school-based mentors, students participate in observation, co-teaching, leadership shadowing, and independent practice. The course concludes with two weeks on campus for reflection, discussion of challenges, and presentation of a professional teaching and leadership portfolio.
