Course Description
This course provides a general overview of sociology in general, and urban and rural sociology in particular and that, in terms of its origin and development, the phenomena of urbanism, the differences between rural and urban aspects, the methods and trends adopted within the field of urban and rural sociology, the city as an urban phenomena, and the criteria for distinguishing between urban and rural areas in the Gulf and Arab societies.
