Sociology of Crisis Management
Course Description
This course explores the definition of crisis, its related concepts, their types, reasons, and mechanisms for coping with them. In addition to the aforementioned, this course explores the nature of the relation between crises and society, the concept of crisis management as well as the social and cultural dimensions for managing such crises, the relation between sociology and crises management, some international examples and models used in terms of crisis management, the social institutions which works is based upon developing the awareness of citizens in terms of facing crisis, and the difficulties and challenges that may hinder social and cultural awareness in terms of crisis and their management.
