Course Description
This course explores the positive and negative aspects of the individuals with special needs concept, the care provided to them, its development, the types of disabilities, the categories of disabled individuals, the reasons for disabilities, the aspects for their treatments and social absorbance, the general principles and practical means and methods aimed at rehabilitating individuals with special needs and providing them with care, the theoretical principles pertaining to practicing social work within the field of individuals with special needs, as well as the social, economic, and legislative problems the individuals with special needs may face. In addition to the aforementioned, this course explores the experience related to providing care to individuals with special needs in the United Arab Emirates.
