It covers the sociological interaction between society and the police, theories of police sociology, and the role of the police in achieving community security and its ramifications for social relations. The course also focuses on the importance of applied social scientific research in policing and the development and qualification of police functions in social fields, as well as the use of technology to meet the challenges of a dynamic social world.
